Demand Planning and Forecasting

Continuous improvement in demand planning and forecasting is a must for companies using supply chain as a source of competitive advantage. This two day master class will look at why some firms do better than others in terms of demand planning and forecasting. What are the basic tenets that are missing? Dr. Hatekar is the Director & Professor of Econometrics, Department of Economics, University of Mumbai. He is the Coordinator for the Centre for Computational Social Sciences, University of Mumbai. He has been the Smuts Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge and has taught courses on Indian economic development at the University.

  • Dr Rakesh Singh

Dr Rakesh Singh is Chairman of Institute of Supply Chain and Management Pvt. Ltd. He is a gold medalist in MA Economics from University of Mumbai and PhD in Demand Planning and Forecasting. He was director at IMT Dubai, DSIMS Mumbai and Founding Dean of NMIMS College of Economics. Teaches at Athens University of Economics and Business, GLIM, Chennai and IIM Kolkatta. His Masterclasses on demand forecasting have been very popular

  • Dr. Rahul Altekar

Dr. Altekar is currently Advisor to AurionPro – an IT solutions provider. Prior to this, he was Director Strategic Services at JDA Software, and a Visiting Faculty at NITIE. He has authored the titles – Enterprisewide Resource Planning: Theory and Practice (Prentice-Hall of India), and Production Management.

The 3rd ISCM Demand Planning and Forecasting Award 2017 is back. Institute of Supply Chain Management along with SCMPro is organizing The Demand Planning and Forecasting Forum – on Mumbai on the 17 th June 2017.
